In a HUGE development for AI + Law technology sector, LexisNexis Legal & Professional, a global leader in legal research and analytics, announced a deepened partnership with OpenAI on February 27, 2025.
This collaboration will integrate OpenAI’s cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) models and APIs

It means a major bug in AI for Law (namely the unspeakably large and profuse LLM with data galore, including legally-sounding not Law like Ally MacBeal and John Grisham) is on the way to solution.

I’ve said before Lexis AI tool in my opinion is far superior to Westlaw. It gives “one right answer” whereas Westlaw gives 82 things to think about.

Will Thomson Reuters’ Westlaw jump in next? Does it have plans if it’s own? It just drubbed opponent “first lawbot” Ross Intelligence in Copyright court.
