A whole new meaning to “I work with AI models.”
Meet one of the hottest things coming out of AI (IA) in Spain — Aitana Lopez!
[In Spain it is not AI it is IA. Most know this is due to Spanish grammar. “Inteligencia Artificial”]
Aitana Lopez is not real, or is she? Are Online Influencers real? Need they be?
Aitana Lopez is Spain’s first AI-generated virtual influencer, created by The Clueless Agency in Barcelona.
Designed by Rubén Cruz and Diana Núñez of The Clueless Agency in 2023, motivated by frustrations with real influencers’ unreliability, egos, and high costs. Cruz told Euronews, “Many projects were being put on hold or cancelled due to problems beyond our control. Often it was the fault of the influencer or model.”
Here is a piece from the BBC in December:
Built using AI software and Photoshop, with no physical photo shoots except sometimes for settings. The agency crafts her “life” weekly, deciding her activities, outfits, and posts to create a relatable narrative. Her design reflects trending aesthetics (e.g., oriental cultural influences) to maximize appeal.
Aitana has over 360,000 Instagram followers as of April 2025, with posts garnering thousands of views and reactions. She responds to fans in Spanish and English (e.g., “Gracias guapo” or “Thank u baby”).
She reportedly earns €3,000–€10,000 monthly (averaging €3,000, or $3,300), with a peak of €10,000 ($11,000) in one month. Income comes from social media ads, brand ambassadorships (e.g., Big, a sports supplement company), and Fanvue, a platform similar to OnlyFans where she posts lingerie photos.
Aitana “works with” many major brands including: Victoria’s Secret, Brandy Melville, and Guess.
AI Influencers are only going to grow and grow, all the precise (bespoke) brand values, none of the human flaws, and a fraction of the cost.
