RIP: AI "Safetyism" 2.11.25

Doomerism Died Yesterday

Ai Counsel is declaring it.

At a marvelous global conference in Paris yesterday, AI “Safetyism” died.

The “Artificial Intelligence Action Summit”

Not a conference about France, nor even about Europe, France hosted the planet in what I call the first AI+ World’s Fair.

Not a conference about doomerism, fear, and often nebulous risk. A global statement of the impact and promise and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence for the world.

There are reasons, human. And yet AI is also human. And so it is a time of choosing; to build instead of to fear.

For the GOOD of AI. For the GOOD of humankind for the next 100years and beyond.

HERE you can view this revolutionary conference and learn more.

RATIONALE:

The neuroticism of the covid era 2020-2024 where every germ and every person and every breath was a fear was unforuntately transposed onto the AI industry.

Artificial Intelligence is undoubtedly the most promising technology since the Internet.

Capable and able of absorbing, parsing, and interpreting the datasets of humankind, writ large, art, as well as granular our today business processes and docs, our law, our medicine, our online comms...all comes in for what I call "The Great Collation."

Nationally agnostic, culturally atheist, post-racial, post-language -- in fact binary, all that is the data we love and have loved and do love and will love, will be part of this Collation -- launching a billion+ use cases, tools, products, and other.

Unstoppable. We bury safetyism and doomerism which only promised nebulous unspecified harms. As in covid, the fear was the product. So uncritical was this thought, in academia and among politicians and run-of-the-mill persons who took default to "No" as prudence.

AI didn't wait. And those building AI will not wait. And those countries which "get it" will not only not wait but will charge headlong and handle problems with AI, well, just like we handle any problem in business...we cross that bridge when we come to it. The Boogeyman is not good policy it turns out.

It was altogther fitting then to see Europe's Eldest Daughter France, of grace and imagination, to be the one to strike the death knell on its own soil by hosting not Europe but the World at the first AI+ World's Fair.

There will be others. AI is global and omnisystem -- and China, the USA, England, and now France have placed their flag on Planet AI.

No more room for doubt.

French President Emmanuel Macron: "We want fair and open access to these innovations for the whole planet"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi: "AI is writing the code for humanity in this century... We are at the dawn of the AI age that will shape the course of humanity"

U.S. Vice President JD Vance: "I’m not here this morning to talk about AI safety, which was the title of the conference a couple of years ago. I’m here to talk about AI opportunity."

Couple this with the most ambitious move in mankind, The Startgate Project 500b with official state support, a first ever AI Czar, OpenAI devouring the world, China's entry with DeepSeek and a pledge to "double" America a day later with a 1T committment, and now France (linking hands with England)...

About the promise of all of this, there is nothing artificial anymore. Get in, or get out of the way.

We offer a prayer of thanks, we knew ye well, and loved thee for a time, and you brought good thought for discussion, yet we lie you to rest AI Safetyism and Doomerism.

AI shall not fear but shall Build. Go is the new "No."
